Buzzing Neighborhoods

The city of Atlanta is filled with so many unique towns and neighborhoods that have many things to offer for nearly any lifestyle. Whether you are a foodie, a shopper, or a music lover, there is a neighborhood that is perfect for you. Atlanta begins in the heart of Fulton County and stretches out into every direction where you will find beautiful homes that will suit your needs and interests, including historical sites, exquisite dining options, bountiful outdoor spaces and more. Here we examine what neighborhoods are the talk of the town and why.

Druid Hills: The #1 Most Livable Neighborhood

The Druid Hills area of Atlanta was recently named the #1 Most Livable Neighborhood in the United States by RenoFi based on multiple livability factors including median household income, median home price growth and more.  In addition to being nationally ranked for its livability, Druid Hills has many attractions and hot spots to explore. For the inquisitive minds looking to learn something new, the Fernbank Museum and Fernbank Science Centeroffers educational fun for the whole family. On Friday evenings, adults 21+ can attend Fernbank After Dark, an immersive museum experience with exhibits, libations, and live music. If shopping is more your style, head north to Westside Market on North Druid Hills Road where you can find items such as furniture, décor and more to give your home an upgrade just in time for spring and summer.

Brookhaven: Outdoor Escapes and Lush History

Brookhaven has so many features, it would be difficult to name them all in one post. The neighborhood, whose history dates back as early as 1810, includes many parks, shopping centers and subdivisions with homes growing in value. Explore Brookhaven Park\ and Murphy Candler Park for those beautiful spring and summer days. Or enjoy some retail therapy at Town Brookhaven, a pedestrian friendly shopping center with all the shops, bars, and restaurants you could ever want; including a state-of-the-art LA Fitness to get in your workouts. We recommend Eatliano Kitchen if you are looking to try new cuisine. It’s the perfect eatery to fit in after a day of shopping and park going. Along with having a variety of features, Brookhaven experienced a 10% increase in home sales in 2020 with the average sold price rising to $516,000.

Marietta: Best in Entertainment

Marietta has been growing in recent years thanks to the addition of The Battery in 2017, which houses the pristine Truist Park, home of the Atlanta Braves. As baseball fans made The Battery a local hot spot, came even more dining destinations like Wahlburgers, the Garden & Gun Club, and The Yardhouse. The Battery has become an entertainment hub with the Coca-Cola Roxy, where music lovers can go to experience their favorite artists and performers, and Punchbowl Social, an all-inclusive game bar with bowling, cornhole, table top games, and more. The housing market is favorable here, with both units sold and average sold price seeing increases in 2020 over the previous year.  The average sold price now outpaces the metro Atlanta average.
